Ngaruawahia High School is a unique Kura, which has provided the families of Ngaruawahia and the surrounding areas with quality co-educational education for over 50 years. As a school, we embrace the spirit of the Treaty of Waitangi and encourage bi-cultural and multi-cultural perspectives.
During the term break a number of major building processes will be taking place at school. Firstly, the old WINTEC building and the old canteen will be demolished and the area cleared of trees in preparation for a new three classroom build which should commence in term 4. We also have three temporary buildings being placed on site in readiness for the demolition of the tech block during the Christmas break. As there will be large machinery operating and asbestos being removed from buildings I ask that the community is not on the back part of the school during this time. The Gym will be closed during the break and the road around the back of the school is out of bounds while this work is taking place.
