I hope this letter finds you and your whaanau safe and well.
We are delighted to be able to welcome more tamariki back onsite under Alert Level 3 from Monday 22nd November. This start date will allow staff to finish working with our senior students to ensure they have completed their internal assessments and exam preparation. Junior students should continue their learning online until this date.
We know learning kanohi ki te kanohi is the best option for children and young people. It’s important for them to connect with their friends and teachers and it helps their social, physical and emotional wellbeing.
We understand if you are uncomfortable having your child on site while Covid is in the community and will continue to support their learning online if they do not return. Hub teachers will be in contact shortly so we have a clear idea of numbers.
For health and safety everyone on site needs to wear a face mask. All staff (and external contractors) who are on site are fully vaccinated or will have had at least one dose of the vaccine and return a negative weekly test.
What you can do to help:
stay at home if you or your child is sick
avoid catching up with other parents, children and whānau at the gates
wear a face covering and maintain a two-metre distance from people not in your household bubble
get advice from your doctor if you or your child has complex medical needs.
avoid catching up inside with children from other families at Alert Level 3.
Ensure that masks are worn on school buses.
If we return to Level 2, we will advise of any changes to our health and safety protocols.
If you have questions or concerns, you can contact the principal at [email protected] or your child’s hub teacher by phone or email.
