Welcome to Kev Derecourt

Kia ora, My name is Kev Derecourt and I am really pleased to be part of the staff at Ngaruawahia High School.

I am an ex local boy who attended both  Ngaruawahia primary and secondary kuras.

I have had a varied career including a trade certificate in Horticulture from being an apprentice greenkeeper at our local golf course and the foreman of a data wiring installation company based in London.

I worked at Cambridge High for about 12 years and most recently, Rototuna Senior High for 3 years.

I am blessed with 2 lovely daughters aged 8 and 10, and I currently live in Morrinsville.

During my first weeks here I have been immensely impressed with the students in this kura and the dedication of staff to ensure we are doing our best to cater for our students. I was blown away by the mana of the tauira who attended the recent prizegiving, this reaffirmed to me that I had made a great choice to apply for a position at your kura and extremely grateful to be accepted.

This has been a goal of mine to work within this kura since I thought about being a teacher. I am really happy to be home. Thank you for your time,

Kev
