On Monday, 23 May 2022 our new teaching block was officially blessed and opened with the name “Te Whare Tuupara.” This reflects the tongi that we all need to paddle the waka together as we move forward, and also embraces the ideas of creativity and innovation that our students will develop to live in our modern world. The recently renovated office block was also officially named the Chris Jarnet Building (to his great surprise!), in recognition of our principal’s 40 years teaching at the school, and his tireless work to get the new building program approved and carried out. Thank you to all those who helped prepare, carry out and support the opening of our beautiful new classrooms. Teaching has begun in our new spaces while the demolition of B Block is already underway.
