Our New Librarian - Gemma Helleur

Kia ora, my name is Gemma and I’m the new School Librarian at Ngaruawahia High School. For the past three and a half years I’ve been working at Rosehill College in Papakura. I have worked in Libraries for 14 years and have a background in public libraries and the Blind Foundation youth library service.
I’m from a small rural community in the northernmost reaches of the Waikato district. I currently reside in Te Kauwhata on a block of land with my partner and our goats, pigs and chickens. I’m also a puppy raiser for Assistance Dogs. This involves fostering a puppy until it is ready to go into formal training, to become a service dog for someone with a disability.
Ngā mihi
Gemma Helleur
