This year athletics was held over 2 days because the first day got too wet. Students competed by age groups and earned participation and placing points for their wakas. It was great to see lots of whanaungatanga as the students supported each other. There was also some good competition among the students.

The total athletics points for each waka were:
1st: Te Matau a Maui with 468
2nd: Haunui with 416
3rd: Hinemoana with 399
4th: Marumaruatua with 387
