Congratulations to our students who won the regional award for "Excellence in Maaori Business" at the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Waikato awards ceremony on 28 October at WINTEC. I'm so proud of Jahvana, TK and Jewels - Kawakawa Cosmetics. The award was presented by Michelle Paki, the creator of the "Buy Māori Made" Facebook page. Their kawakawa lip balm business has been a great success. In our region there were over 300 students involved in YES, and over 60 groups, with over 4000 students participating nationally this year. -Matua Ryan
