Girls Hockey

Ngaruawahia High School had a hockey team for the first time in a few years. There was a lot of interest in this team. We were able to enter a Girls Hockey Team that consisted of Year 9, 10 and some senior students. The hockey team played every Monday with different teams and times, so would the opposition. Every game we played our hardest and never gave up. We would like to thank Mr. Elgar for reffing our games every week as well as Whaea Nicole for giving up her time each week to train and coach us. We would also like to thank Mr. Ranui for transporting us to and from every game. Without this support behind us, we probably would never have had the opportunity to bring the Hockey team back to NHS for our students. It was good to see the students improve skills within a sporting environment.

So proud of our AMAZING Girls Hockey team. They are representing our school well and progressing in leaps and bounds every week! Thank you Muz for braving the cold to ref and Harold for being our loyal taxi, we can feel your support from the warmth of the clubhouse. But overall, so proud of my girls and how awesome they are doing.
