Chris Jarnet's Retirement

Tena koutou katoa, The Ngaruawahia High School Board wishes to announce the resignation of our Principal Chris Jarnet, with effect from the end of this 2022 school year.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the huge contribution Chris has made to our school and community over several decades. The exciting new buildings currently being built at the school reflect his hard work. Staff will soon be able to appreciate all the improved facilities and our students’ education will benefit for years to come.

The whole community will have an opportunity to say goodbye and give thanks for Chris’s service to Ngaruawahia High School, towards the end of the year. The details and dates for Chris’s farewell will be circulated closer to the time.

The Board have started the process for recruiting our new principal for 2023. In the coming weeks we will be undertaking the important work of community consultation to gain the input from all our key groups. Please take the opportunities offered in the next few weeks to support your Board as we work on your behalf to find the best possible principal for our school.
