ANZAC Day Service

Every year the Ngaruawahia RSA hold a speech competition where they offer a scholarship to the winning student. This year it was a $500 scholarship for the winning student. There was a small group of Year’s 11, 12 and 13 where they had to write and present a speech on “What Anzac Means To You”. Year 13 and Deputy Head Student, Melissa Blackett won the speech competition and represented our Kura at the Civic Service in Ngaruawahia on Anzac Day. Along with two of our other Head Students, Charlie Ryan and Autumn McCormick, they represented the Kura on behalf of the school when laying a wreath at the Cenotaph. We would like to thank Whaea Nicole for making the lovely wreath for us.
